ULUM was born from a question that stayed with me for years: What would it be like to live in a place that reminded us every day of what truly matters?
I wanted it to be a place with soul. A place that helps us reconnect with nature, with the people we love, with community, and with ourselves. The cenote is its heart. The jungle is its body.
This will be the first time you'll be able to experience ULUM before it's complete. You'll walk through the jungle without knowing exactly what awaits you. You'll feel the cool air rising from the cenote before you ever see it. And then you'll descend into its heart, where music will resonate through stone, water, and silence.
I don't want you to remember just a concert. I want you to remember the night you understood ULUM.

Returning to our roots doesn't mean looking back. It means remembering how we want to move forward.
Every December, the ULUM community will gather at the cenote around music, nature, gastronomy, and connection. Return to Our Roots is the first.
Those who come are not spectators. They are the first witnesses to a tradition—and the first storytellers of its history.
Simon Glöde

Born in northern Germany, Simon left home at 15 to pursue music, performing across Europe before a transformative journey to India reshaped his path. Today, based between India and Europe, he creates immersive Concert Ceremonies where music becomes a shared experience. His latest album, Invincible (2026), was recorded in Rishikesh. For this performance, he is joined by Cuarteto Yucatán, founded in Mérida in 2011 by musicians from the Yucatán Symphony Orchestra, whose history includes the world premiere of Cine Mérida alongside its composer, Michael Nyman.
